Good afternoon, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Friday, April 13 at 3 p.m.

We’ve got east winds averaging 10 knots this afternoon. Surf is choppy.

Surf at The Washout is ankle to knee high in bumpy, weak conditions.

We just came off a high tide at 2:29 p.m. Low tide will be at 8:35 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 1.6 ft. at 8 seconds. So, there is no swell at the buoy.

The National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast calls for: ” HIGH PRESSURE WILL EXTEND ACROSS THE WATERS THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.”

Our wave forecast for Folly is not looking to great for Saturday. We could see a small trade-wind swell Sunday in the thigh to waist high range. Perhaps a small long-board wave on the late afternoon tide Sunday. Surf picks up a bit Tuesday and Wednesday in a Bermuda Trade wind swell/south-wind swell combo ahead of a cold front. So let’s keep our fingers crossed we get some small swell next week.
