Surf at the Washout is waist-to-chest high. It is draining out at the lower tide. There is a drift up the beach. Overall, it looks pretty fun.
Winds are blowing side-shore – westerly – at 15 to 18 knots and surf is a bit crossed-up. Look for strong westerly winds to abate some later this afternoon.

Surf has some strong westerly winds blowing into it, and it is kind up ripping up the beach, but there is some swell energy in the water. Today is a good day to try and get some surf, but surf looks to fade some this afternoon as westerly winds slack to 15 knots. Surf gets small for mid-week, but should pick up again in a choppy, windy south swell for Friday into Saturday as another cold front affects our marine area. We’ll keep you updated.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: High pressure will build over the region today, then prevail through the middle of the week. A strong cold front will sweep through the region Friday, before high pressure returns late weekend and persists into early next week.”
It’s 62* with sun. Look for a high of 73* today with sun.
Water temperature is around 68*. People are in boardshorts and neoprene jackets/spring-suits.
