Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for
Tuesday, March 13 at 8:30 a.m.
We just received the complete line of Beater and Odysea soft-boards here at the shop. Including all sizes of the single-fin Plank, the Jamie O’Brien Pro Model, the Wave Bandit and more. Go soft or go home.
Surf at the Washout is flat.
Winds are west/north-west at 5 knots. Surf zone is clean and cold.
Look for westerly winds today at 10 to 15 knots, surf stays side-shore and semi-clean today.
Tide is going out, and low tide is at noon. High tide will be at 6:02 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 6.6 ft. at 6 seconds in very high angled north/north-east wind waves headed past our beaches.
Unfortunately we have off-shore winds and small surf in the forecast this week. Best possibility for some surf might be on Sunday, when winds go south/south-west before a cold front affects the area.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Dry, cool high pressure will prevail through Friday. A cold front will likely affect the area Friday night into Saturday before stalling over or near the area into early next week.”
It is 38* this morning with sun. Look for a high of 59* today with sun.
Water temperature is back down to 57* with the cold snap.
Sunset is at 7:26 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:31 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
