Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, May 15 at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at The Washout is flat.
Winds are from the north/north-east at 5 knots. Surf-zone is semi-choppy.
Look for north-easterly winds by late day at 10 knots, going south-east late. Surf should be semi-choppy and small all day.
Low tide is at 11:42 a.m., and high tide is at 6:10 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 ft. at 7 seconds in a combination of easterly swell and high-angled north/north-east wind swell.
We don’t have much surf today, and surf looks pretty small through the weekend as high pressure sets up over our marine area.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will build into the region today and prevail into next week. A weak trough of low pressure will linger in the vicinity late this week.”
It’s a beautiful morning. It’s 65* with sun. Look for a prefect beach day with sun and a high of 74*.
