GENERAL
Good afternoon, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Tuesday, April 10 at 3:30 p.m.
Come in and check out the submersible T-shirts from Billabong. It’s just like a T-shirt, but you can get surf in it, and it dries quickly. Also, Gary Wilson brought some custom long-boards into the shop this morning, so come check them out.
We’ve got south winds at around 10 knots this afternoon. Surf is bumpy with texture and weak.
Surf at The Washout is flat to ankle high. It is not rideable, but might be a good day to take out the SUP and get some exercise.
Low tide will be at 5:29 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.3 ft. at 4 seconds in short period south wind swell.
The National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast calls for: ” A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH FROM THE NORTH LATE TONIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE AREA DURING THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK…BEFORE SHIFTING INTO THE ATLANTIC LATE IN THE WEEK.”
Weak weather patterns this week – dominated by high pressure in the Atlantic – means a serious flat spell for our beaches. But if you look at the bright side we will have beautiful weather for fishing, stand-up paddle boarding or just hanging out at the beach.
It is flat out beautiful. 79 today with sunny skies.
Sunset is at 7:47 p.m.
Thanks for checking Ocean Surf Shop.
