Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, Oct. 28 at 8:30 a.m.

The weather is getting cooler, and we have plenty of wetsuits to keep you toasty during the colder winter months. Come on in and check it out.

Waves at the Washout are knee high. There could be a slightly bigger set as the tide comes in, but overall it is pretty small.

Winds are NE at 5 knots. Surf zone is semi-clean.

We see a switch to southerly winds at 5 to 10 knots today adding some bump to the surf zone.

Tide is coming in, and high tide will be at 2:50 p.m. Low tide will be at 9:10 p.m.

Edisto buoy is reading 2 ft. at 8 seconds in medium period easterly swell.

We see minimal easterly wind swell today average knee high, dropping out some at the late afternoon low tide. Small surf is in the forecast for late week, but there is a possibility of some small southerly trade-wind swell today averaging thigh to waist high, then swell MIGHT pick up Sunday as low moves off-shore of our waters out of the Gulf of Mexico. This could push up a brief ground swell late in the weekend, but the wind is forecast to be strong off-shore Sunday after a frontal passage, so we’ll see if this tropical low could pick up some steam for Sunday

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will move off the coast through tonight. A cold front will push through the area Saturday night followed by high pressure through much of next week.”

It is a chilly 60* and cloudy this morning. Look for a cloudy day and a high of 75 and 40% chance of showers.

Water temperature has dropped to around 71*with the cold snap. Might want to get a wetsuit soon.

Sunset is at 6:33 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:32 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
