Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, April 13 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at the Washout is running in the knee high range. It is clean and weak.
Winds are very light out of the south-east, and we expect winds from the south at 5 to 10 knots today, adding moderate bump and chop to the surf zone.
We are coming off a high tide this morning, low tide will be at 12:45 p.m. The next high tide will be at 6:58 p.m.
The Edisto buoy reading 2.6 ft. at 6 seconds in a combination of east/south-east swell and south/south-east wind swell 13. Ft at 4 sec.
Fairly small surf for today, but surf should begin picking up a bit on Saturday. A cold front approaches Saturday, brining south wind swell in the waist high range. This swell will increase Sunday in big choppy south wind waves. Swell fades and cleans up form Monday morning, before dropping off Monday afternoon.

Winds are east at 5 knots, and surf is semi-clean.
Winds are expected to switch south-east later today at 5 to 10 knots, adding some bump to the surf.
We are coming off a high tide this morning, low tide will be at 12:02 p.m. High tide is at 6:20 this evening.
The Edisto buoy reading 3.3 ft. at 8 seconds in a combination of east/north-easterly medium period swell and wind swell with a high angle. Most of the swell is moving past our beaches.
We see knee to thigh high surf with bumpy conditions this afternoon as the tide pushes in. High pressure is set up over our marine area, offering beautiful weather but small surf through the end of the work week. A cold front approaches Saturday, brining south wind swell. This swell will begin building Saturday, and increase Sunday in big choppy south wind waves. Swell fades and cleans up form Monday morning, before dropping off Monday afternoon.

Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, April 11 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at the Washout is running in the knee high range.

Winds are N at 6 knots, and surf is clean.

Winds are expected to switch E later today and overnight before becoming SE tomorrow, yet should remain light.

The first low tide will be at 11:16 am followed by high tide at 5:25 pm.

The Edisto buoy reading 6.2 ft. at 5.4 seconds in a combination NNE/ENE wind swell mix.

With winds remaining light today through tomorrow, there may be a chance for some N swell to be intercepted, though it is not expected to be very big. This swell drops down late in the work week, before we see a bigger southerly wind swell build late Saturday through Sunday.

Surf at the Washout is knee high with a thigh set. It could push waist high early afternoon as the tide comes in.
Winds are out of the north/north-east at 10 to 12 knots, and surf is side-shore, and semi-clean.
Winds are expected go north-east at 15 knots. Surf should be semi-choppy today.
Low tide is at 10:26 a.m. high tide will be at 4:32 p.m.
The Edisto buoy reading 4.6 ft. at 8 seconds in a high-angled combination of medium period north-easterly swell and short period north-easterly wind swell.
We see winds trend north/north-east to start the work week as an upper level disturbance lingers along the South Carolina Coast today. Look for surf to average knee to thigh high with semi-choppy conditions. This swell drops down late in the work week, before we see a bigger southerly wind swell build late Saturday through Sunday.
