Carolina Surf Film Festival is set for October 20-21st at the Brickhouse Kitchen here in Charleston, and if you’re looking to take a road trip, they’ll be at Waterman’s Brewing Company in Wilmington on October 13-14th! Always a great time!
Waves at the washout are thigh to waist high at the morning’s lower tide.
Winds are NNE at 20-25 knots, and surf is choppy. Look for ENE winds at 20-25 knots this afternoon, keeping the surf fairly choppy but hopefully this wind will push in some swell.
Low tide is at 11:00 am, high tide will be at 5:27 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 9.2 ft. at 7 seconds in steep east/north-east ground swell. Most swell is heading south past our beaches.
Surf at the washout is thigh to waist high and should increase as the day goes. Looks like a tropical low is going to build off Florida’s East coast and bring strong north east wind and east ground swell today and through the middle of next week . This swell continues into your work week.

It is draining out a bit at the morning’s low tide, but should get better form as the tide comes in mid-morning.
