Good morning folks, this is Luke Da Kook with your surf report & forecast for Thursday, June 19th coming to you from the pier.

Choppy

Time of Report: 7
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: None
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Surf at the Pier is knee-thigh high, winds are cranking pretty good from the SSW so it’s a bit choppy this morning. Some waves to surf on higher vol boards.

Winds are currently strong out of the SSW 15-20mph

We have a low tide this morning around 8:53 a.m. Look for a high tide this afternoon at 3:03 p.m., followed by a low tide tonight after sunset at 9:29 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 3.6 ft at 5 seconds coming out of the SSW.

Surf is knee to thigh high again thanks to high pressure sitting offshore. Not seeing a whole lot on the horizon as far as potential wave brewers. We will keep you in the loop.

Our guys and gals at NOAA predict that a: “High pressure in the Atlantic will prevail across the Southeast this week. A cold front could approach, then pass just to our north later this week”.

Water temperature is about 78*… sheesh

It is a beautiful morning here on the island, currently 80* and mostly sunny. Look for sunshine all day with a high of 86*. Expect winds to pick up a little as we head into the late afternoon/night.

Sunrise was at 6:13 a.m. and the sunset will be at 8:31 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for today’s Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
