Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, Dec 2 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly this morning are knee to thigh high with a slightly bigger set in a high-angled south-west wind swell.

Winds are westerly at 10 to 15 knots, and surf is side-shore and semi-clean.

Look for winds to pick up westerly 15 to 20 knots with gusts to 25 knots. We see blown out surf by afternoon with the strong westerly winds.

High tide will be at noon today. Low tide will be at 6:13 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.2 ft. at 6 seconds in a predominately west/south-west wind swell, blowing a lot of swell away from the beach.

Unfortunately, surf looks small for the work week. Our next chance for swell looks like it will take place this weekend as another storm system effects our marine area, brining short-period north-east wind waves building Saturday, with swell once again rotating more on shore for Sunday into Monday morning of next week.

It’s a cool 50* today, and we don’t see it get much warmer as we expect a high of 56* with bright sun-shine.

Water temperature is now 58*

Sunrise is at 7:05 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:12 p.m.
