Wave Forecast: knee high
Traffic: none

Dangers: big fish

Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, June 12 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at the Washout is knee to thigh high. There’s certainly potential on a meatier board.

Winds are N at 8 knots, and the surf zone is very clean.

Look for south-west winds at 5 to 10 knots adding some chop to the surf zone this afternoon.

Tide is going out, low tide will be at 1:08 pm. The next high tide will be at 7:32 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 3.3 ft. at 4.6 seconds in a SSW wind/swell combo.

South-west wind swell looks to build some into mid-week in weak, choppy, conditions in the thigh to waist high range. With a trough moving into the area bringing low pressure, and a mixture of thunderstorms in the area mid-week, there may be hope for some smaller swell.  Winds are not expected to be too heavy, so cleaner surf may be possibly in windows.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: A stationary front will meander across the area today, then lift north as a warm front by Wednesday. A trough is forecasted to prevail inland Wednesday and Thursday followed by a slow moving backdoor cold front Friday into this weekend.

It is 76* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 83* with a 60% chance of a thunderstorm.

Water temperature is 82*

Sunset is at 8:28 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:10 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
