Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, November 7th at 8:30 a.m.
Waves at the pier this morning are waist to stomach high with an occasional bigger set and fairly long lines.
Winds are NNE at 7 knots and surf is clean.
We wind to shift E this afternoon, remaining light with some scattered thunderstorms.
Tide is going out. Low tide will be at 1:24 p.m. The next high tide will be at 7:26 p.m. The Edisto buoy is reading 3.3 ft at 8 seconds in a dominant east/south-east swell. Surf definitely looks fun this morning and should linger into low tide. As a stationary front hangs around, we should see similar swell size with wind out of the NE for the remainder of the week, chopping up conditions a bit. As cooler pressure and storms move our direction next week, we may continue to see swell alongside windy conditions, and cooler air temps leading to dropping water temps.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A stationary front will remain over the area into Friday. A cold front will sweep through Friday night followed by cooler high pressure over the weekend. A storm system will affect the area early next week.”
It’s 70* and partly cloudy this morning. Look for a warm day with a high of 74* and scattered showers.
Water temperature is 68*.
Sunset is at 5:24 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:43 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
