Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, September 21 at 7:30 a.m.

We have tons of wetsuit tops, jackets and spring-suits for men and women. Come on by and pick one up as the morning air temperatures is starting to cool off some.

Sea and Sand Festival will be held today on Folly Beach, so get here to surf early, or be stuck in traffic.

Surf at The pier this morning is in the thigh to waist high range with a stomach high set. It is clean, with a north-west wind at 10 knots. Waves should improve with the incoming tide.

Look for east-north-east winds – more on-shore – this afternoon at 10 knots, adding some chop and drift to smaller ground swell surf.

Tide is coming in this morning. We have a high tide at 1:26 p.m., and a low tide will be at 7:50 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.9 ft. at 11 seconds in a long-period east/south-east ground swell.

Surf at the Pier is running thigh to waist high with a bigger set and cleaner conditions this morning. Looks fun for the high-volume board. Look for some chop and drift this afternoon as winds come north-east. Surf should drop later in the day into the remainder of the weekend. Tropical Storm Jerry is in the Central Atlantic near the Leeward Islands. Jerry isn’t going to gain much strength although groundswell should be filtering into our shores Monday morning. This swell should be more organized/longer-period swell, but likely won’t be as big as we have seen from Dorian and Humberto, but GOOD swell none-the-less and – likely – less wind. More waves on the way. And a hurricane season for the record books. There’s still a few systems prowling behind Jerry. We’ll keep you updated.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail into early next week. A weak cold front could push into the area Monday night and linger through mid-week before dissipating. Temperatures will be near to above normal through the period.”
we have nice weather this morning. It’s 70* and sunny. Look for a high of 83* and
sun today.

Water temperature is 80*.

Sunrise is at 7:06 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:18 p.m.
