Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 8:30 a.m.

We will close at 3 p.m. today for the Thanksgiving holiday, and will be closed Thanksgiving Day.

We will be having our annual “Schwack Friday” sale this Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. We’ll have 25% off men’s and women’s foot-wear and apparel, and $100 off of any new board in the shop, including $40 off of any soft-board. There will be lots of other deals, so come check out the sale.

Surf at Folly this morning is knee high. It’s pretty small this morning.

Winds are south this morning at 5 knots, and surf is clean.

Look for winds to rotate south-west at 15 to 20 knots by late this afternoon. Surf gets choppy for afternoon as south-west winds pick up.

We just had a high tide, low tide will be at 2:16 p.m. High tide will be at 8:13 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.3 ft. ft. at 9 seconds in a long period south-east swell.

Looking long-range, a cold front looks to approach tonight with strong south-west winds. The front passes overnight, and we could see a few small clean, high-angled south-west wind waves first light on Thanksgiving Day. Friday and  Saturday sees small, high-angled north-east wind swell. As another cold front approaches Sunday, look for a bigger, choppy strong south/south-west wind swell cleaning up late afternoon on Sunday. Surf looks to fall off Monday and into the middle of next week as high pressure sets up again over our marine area.

We have nice weather. It’s 59* with sun. Look for sun with some clouds today, and a high of 68*.

Water temperature is now 60*

Sunrise is at 7 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
