Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, December 29th at 8:30 a.m.
We’re open regular hours this week and closed on New Years Day.
Surf at Folly this morning is knee-waist high and soft/weak.
Winds are light NE early making for semi clean conditions.
Look for winds to clock around SSE later today picking up into the 10mph area.
High tide is approaching at 10:00a.m. Low tide will follow at 4:00 p.m
The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 ft. at 8 seconds in an SE swell.
Surf looks ok this Sunday morning running knee-waist high and weak overall. It is enough to push the high volume sticks! This swell fades through today before picking right back up tonight into the start of the work week in SSE wind-swell. Look for building conditions Monday into the chest high area. Tuesday the swell looks to begin to cleanup and begin its fading trend into mid-week. It goes flat on Thursday but not for long as a even stronger front looks to push up a good looking SSE wind-swell for the weekend time of this coming week. Wave train continues!
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A coastal trough will move north today, then a cold front will move through Monday. Cooler, drier high pressure will build in through Wednesday. Another cold front will move through Friday and Friday night.”
It’s partly cloudy and 63* this morning. Look for a high of 73* with cloudy skies and rain developing later in the afternoon.
Water temperature is around 55*. Come grab some gear.
Sunrise is at 7:19 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:19 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
