Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, January 4, 2020.

All of our board-shorts and walk-shorts are marked off 50%. We also have almost all of our bikinis marked 50% off. Come check it out while the selection is still good.

Surf at Folly this morning is waist-to-chest and looking good!

Winds are moderate offshore at report time! This could change any minute being in between rain showers at the moment. Once the front pushes through winds are expected to be west at 15mph.

We are coming off a low tide at report time, and high tide will be at 2:30 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.5 ft. at 7 seconds in a building south wind swell.

Its looking really fun at report time chest high sets on this mornings low tide and the wind is somehow offshore before the front has pushed through. Winds should be side-offshore by around noon once this front pushes off folly. Either way not what I was expecting this morning! Get on it! Surf starts its fading trend later this afternoon and overnight. Surf goes flat Sunday into the work week. High pressure swell offshore and looks to produce a trade-swell for us later in the work week. We will keep you posted.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will give way to a cold front tonight into Saturday morning followed by high pressure through early next week. A weak cold front will then move through late Tuesday followed by high pressure through mid week.”

It’s warm 64* this morning. Look for a high of 69* with rain early and clearing later this afternoon.

Water temperature is 57*

Sunrise is at 7:22 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:25 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
