We will be open from 9:15 a.m. until 5 p.m. on this holiday, Monday. Please follow social distancing protocols when shopping.

Waves at Folly this morning are knee-thigh high maybe a plus set. It is weak and choppy in a fresh easterly wind swell, with a pretty small south-easterly ground swell component.

Winds are east north-east at 10 to 15 knots, and surf zone is choppy and a bit drifty.

Winds are predicted to pick up from the east at 15 to 20 knots today. Surf should be choppy and drifty this afternoon.

High tide is at 10:23 a.m., and low tide will be at 4:16 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 ft at 8 seconds in a medium-period ESE swell from what’s left of tropical depression Arthur.

We see small high angled east wind swell and some south-east wind swell continue today. Best for the longboard. Surf continues its fading trend through the rest of Memorial Day weekend as high pressure begins to settle itself over our marine area. Looking ahead into mid-week a weak low develops Tuesday and high pressure moves offshore. This looks to produce a decent shot of ESE trade-swell beginning Wednesday and Thursday. Easterly trade wind swell looks to fill in Friday and Saturday. Looks like the swell should hold on for a few days and we will keep you posted!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will build from the north into tonight while a coastal trough develops. Weak low pressure could then track over or near the area into mid week with Atlantic high pressure then prevailing until a cold front likely moves through this weekend.

It’s 77 degrees at first light with sun and a few clouds this morning. Look for a high of 79 with a chance of thundershowers later in the afternoon.

Water temperature is around 75*.  Back to boardies and bikinis.

Sunrise is at 6:13 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:19 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
