Surf at Folly this morning is knee-high. Maybe slightly larger. It’s a bit soft at the morning’s high tide. You’ll want a long-board if you need to get wet.
Winds are from the west/south-west at 5 knots, and surf is looking pretty clean.
Look for winds from the south-west winds at 10 knots this afternoon, and surf should get side-shore and bumpy later today.
We have a high tide at 9:14 a.m., and a low tide will be at 3:21 pm. The next high tide is at 9:42 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is predominately reading 3 ft. at 4 seconds in a small, long-period south-west wind swell.
Surf Is knee-high range this morning. Looking ahead we could see some residual swell from as a tropical wave passes through out swell window, and high pressure moves to our east. Look for a BIT bigger surf during the end of the work week and into Saturday, but not much to write home about. Also a few areas of interest are predicted to develop off the north-west African Coast, heading west. We will see if the further develop over the now-very-warm Atlantic, perhaps for later next week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through Friday. A cold front will likely stall over or near the area this weekend into early next week. A broad area of low pressure will then develop over the Southeast and persist through late next week.
It’s 83* and mostly sunny. Look for another hot, humid day with a high of 90 and a heat index well into the 100* mark.
Water temperature is 86*.
Sunrise is at 6:55 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:41 p.m.
