Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 a.m.
You can now park in right-of-way on the side streets at Folly Monday through Thursday. Keep in mind parking restrictions still apply Friday through Sunday. Check the City of Folly Beach’s Web site for more information.
We still have a mandatory mask ordinance in effect for Folly Beach.
Surf at Folly is waist to belly high and could improve some on this mornings incoming tide push.
Winds are 10-15mph out of the ESE.
Look for winds to remain the same throughout the remainder of the day.
We came off a low tide at 8:12 a.m. High tide is at 2:39 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is down. Surfline showing 4.2 ft at 5 seconds in SE swell.
Surf has picked up in ESE swell compliments of a offshore high-pressure and remnants of Hurricane Delta move into our marine area. Surfs about waist-belly high and looks decent this Saturday morning. Onshore flow will stay through the weekend and surf size should hold into early next week. We also have a low in the Eastern Atlantic starting to fire up although its got a rough road ahead as it heads into unfavorable environments for further development. Either way plenty of surf in the forecast for the next few days!
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A warm front will lift north across the area this weekend as the remnants of Hurricane Delta track northeast towards the Ohio Valley. A cold front is expected to push through the area Tuesday night. High pressure will then build behind the front and prevail through the week.”
It’s 75* cloudy skies and showers. Look for clouds to continue building in along with more showers developing in the afternoon hours with a high of 80*.
Water temperature is 73*.
Sunrise is at 7:16 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:58 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
