Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, February 27 at 8:30 a.m.

We just received a shipment of Future fins, and a lot of spring apparel and merchandise is arriving daily. Get ready for summer with Ocean Surf Shop.

Surf at The Washout is knee-high, clean and weak. Bring the longboard if you want to get wet. It is really nice out this morning.

Winds are from the south-west at 5 knots, and surf-zone is glassy.

Look for light southerly winds to average 5-to-8 knots this afternoon, gradually shifting to the south. Look for clean, bumpy, textured surf this afternoon.

We are coming off a high tide this morning. Low tide will be at 1:52 p.m. The next high tide is at 8:03 p.m.

Virtual buoy readings are showing 1.9 ft. at 8 seconds in a small, medium period south-easterly wind swell.

We should see more southerly flow overnight, with the possibility of some small, short-period south-west winds swell picking up late-day on Sunday. Look for increasing, choppy south wind-swell on Monday ahead of a cold front that should move through later Monday night. Swell will shift to the north-east on Tuesday, with windy, choppy, small north-east wind swell moving past our beaches. Another storm system moves through our marine area mid-week, and will increase waves Thursday into the latter part of the week.
