Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, April 27 at 8:30 a.m.
We just received new boards from our buddy Gary Wilson, come by and check those out while the selection is still good.
Surf at The Washout this morning is around knee high. You’ll need a log or a big foamy to ride it.
Winds are south-east at 5 knots, and surf is weak and bumpy.
Look for winds to continue light from the south-east this morning, picking up from the south at 10 to 15 this afternoon. We’ll see semi-choppy, bumpy surf later today.
High tide is at 8:35 a.m., and low tide will be at 2:41 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:10 p.m.
Virtual buoy readings are showing 1.4 ft at 8 seconds in a medium-period south-east swell.
Surf looks pretty small until Friday, when winds will come south-west ahead of a cold front, and push up a choppy, south-west wind wave in the waist to chest high range. We will keep you posted as the forecast develops.
Your National Weather Service Marine Weather forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail through Thursday. A cold front could bring impacts to the region on Friday.”
It’s a beautiful, sunny 64* this morning. Look for a high of 76* and sun all day today. We have perfect beach weather.
