Surf at the Washout this morning is knee-to-thigh high with a waist set. Still a little swell out there, but the quality is not great.

Winds are south-west at 10 to 15 knots, and surf zone is choppy with a slight drift up the beach.  It’s not great, but it’s rideable.

Look for winds to maintain a south-west direction this afternoon and increase 15-20 knots. We should see choppier surf this afternoon.

High tide is at 10:13 a.m., low tide will be at 4:05 p.m.

Look for choppy, thigh high surf this afternoon as the tide drops out. We see choppy south-west wind swell average around thigh high to start the work week. This falls off some mid-week, when south wind swell will continue a bit smaller. High pressure is set up over our marine area, brining us a typical summer weather pattern and typical summer south wind-swell.
