Good morning, this is Scott with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, February 5 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at The Washout this morning is knee-thigh high. It’s small but looks super fun on a log

Winds are north-west at 12-14 knots, early.

Look for winds to switch northeast as the day continues.

High tide is at 11:06 this morning, and low tide will be at 5:02 this afternoon.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.9 ft at 5 seconds in a short period wind swell.

Today doesn’t have the size of yesterday but it looks very fun. Hopefully it will pick up just a little bit for tomorrow and Monday but as for today, bring a big board, make sure you dress warm, and don’t have any expectations for big swell.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will extend across the region this weekend. A coastal low should bring some impacts to our area late Sunday into Monday followed by more high pressure for the rest of next week.”

It’s 46* at Folly Beach this morning. It is cloudy. Look for clouds all day and a high of 52*.

Water Temperature dropped to 49*.

Sunrise is at 7:12 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:57 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
