Wave Forecast: Flat as hell.
Traffic: Yes. Spring break is here.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, March 27 at 8:30 a.m.

New spring gear from Jetty and Vissla have arrived. Come by and see what’s new when you get to the beach.

Surf at The Washout this morning is flat.

Winds are west at 5 knots, and surf zone is clean this morning. Best for an SUP paddle early this morning.

Look for north-west winds to increase late this morning at 15 to 20 knots, going west at 20 to 25 knots this afternoon. We see a semi-clean, flat surf-zone all day.

Low tide will be at 10:49 a.m., and high tide is at 4:38 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.3 feet at 6 seconds in a short-period south-west wind wave, pushing against a north-west wind swell. So not much surf at the beach.

Unfortunately, there is no surf out there today and it looks like it will be this way for the next few days. It looks like we will begin to see another south swell starting late on Wednesday as a warm front lifts north or our waters. A cold front passes overnight on Thursday, and we see strong south winds and big south wind swell in the head high range ahead of this front. Friday sees a gradual clean-up as winds come off-shore. Surf should be blown down by mid-day on Saturday and surf looks small for Sunday (a week out).

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will prevail through early week. A warm front will lift north across the area Wednesday followed by the passage of a cold front near the end of the week. Unsettled weather could then continue into next weekend due to a series of disturbances.”

It’s currently 55* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 67* with sunshine and breezy conditions.

Water Temperature is around 64*.

Sunrise is at 7:13 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:36 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
