Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, June 24 at 8:30 a.m.
Waves at the pier are back to ankle high and semi choppy with a dropping tide.
Winds are east/north-east at 14 knots.
Winds are going to pick up out of the east at 15-20 knots.
We have a low tide at 11:03 a.m. High tide will be at 5:36 p.m., and low tide will be at 11:57 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 0.7 feet at 7.7 seconds out of the east/south-east.
We have small waves for today. We have easterly winds throughout the weekend. May get a little bump on Sunday. Not much generating swell into next week so we are expecting minimal to small surf throughout the week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will build from the north through the weekend. A cold front may stall over the area during the middle of next week.”
It’s nice at the beach. It’s 82* with sunshine. Look for a high of 84* and sunny today with an onshore breeze. Looks like we have a beautiful weekend in store.
