Clean.

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, July 31st at 7:30 a.m.  Congratulations to all competitors at Folly Wahine Classic.

Surfs down early week check out @castaway.with.us for some fun on the water. Kayaks, Sups and boat trips.

Surf at Folly showing knee high, it is clean should be enough for the logs. Beautiful morning.

Winds are west at 5 knots, and surf-zone is clean. Winds are forecasted to rotate more ENE later today 5-10mph putting some texture to the surf.

We are just coming off a high tide at report time. Low tide to follow at 1:13 p.m. with a high tide to conclude the day at 7:48 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.3feet at 8 seconds in a medium-period east-south-east swell.

Surf as expected has continued its fading trend into this morning. Showing knee high clean peelers although enough to give the logs a ride. Surf continues to stay down until later Weds. We are watching invest 96 that is slowly getting its act together. This system is heading WNW with an expected hard turn North just before Bermuda. I think we should see some mild groundswell fill in late weds into Thursday a.m. thigh-belly high surf on better tides. This swell will be a hit and run as 96 doesn’t stay in our window very long. Well keep you posted.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail this week. A cold front could approach the region early next week.”

Water temperature is around 85*.

It’s 77* and sunny this morning.  Expect sunny to partly cloudy and hot today with a high of 87*. It’s gonna be warm out, but a beautiful day at the beach.

Sunrise is at 6:22 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:28 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
