Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Sunday December 3rd at 8:00 a.m.
Surf is showing knee-waist+ a lot more wind today but its not hurting it to bad.
Winds are strong out of the WSW at 15-20mph again its not hurting it to badly.
We have a high approaching at Noon and the tide will drain out to low at 6:26 p.m.
The Edisto buoy currently reading 5.2ft at 5 seconds short period SW wind-swell. Secondary ESE swell still showing at the buoy as well.
Again surfs looking about knee-waist high some plus sets in the mix, nothing spectacular but plenty enough to get wet. High pressure returns later today and the surf will continue its fading trend to kick off our work week. Only hope This week is a gigantic low looks to develop in the Northern Atlantic next week and sling a significant NE swell to Florida. So a road trip may be in the cards for the ambitious. Looking like a flat week in Folly
NOAA Forecast: “A cold front will approach from the west today, before passing through the area Sunday evening. High pressure will then prevail through much of next week.”
Current water temp: 59*.
It’s foggy and 63* this morning. The high is 70* with clouds today and a chance of rain in the evening.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back in tomorrow.
