Surf is knee-waist high this morning in short period drifty SW wind-swell. Nothing to get excited about by any means. High pressure has moved back in over our general area, this pattern will keep our surf on the downside trending through mid-week after the New year. Things get more exciting late next week models still consistent on two nice size low pressures forming in the Gulf and sliding off the SE coast which will generate good onshore flow and surf as a result. Stay tuned on timings for cleanups and the specifics until we get closer. Surfs coming but it’s the waiting game for now.
NOAA Forecast: “ High pressure will prevail through the weekend. A cold front should move through the region late Monday, followed by more High pressure.
Current water temp: 58*.
It’s sunny with a high of 54*
Sunrise is 7:10 a.m., Sunset 5:13 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
