Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Friday, January 5th at 8:30 a.m.

Not looking like much out there today.
Currently winds are NNE around 10-15mph and the surf zone has a little chop on it. We expect NE winds 10-15 mph throughout the day.
Low tide was 8:24 a.m. High tide will be at 2:16 p.m. Tonight’s low tide will be 8:22 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is currently reading 5.6ft at 5.6 seconds wind swell from the north-east.
Today is another good day to get your 2024 in line for a great year. Tomorrow we see a strong on shore flow that should kick up the waves some. There is a chance for a clean up Sunday morning. Whatever it is will likely fade fast as winds go westerly after dark on Saturday. Regardless it will be worth checking in the morning.
NOAA Forecast: “High pressure will prevail today. A storm system will move through the region late tonight into Saturday, followed by more high pressure through early next week. Another storm system will impact the area Monday night through Tuesday night. Tuesday is forecasted with strong onshore winds again. Maybe something will come of it Wednesday or Thursday. We will keep you updated.
