Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Friday, Jan 26th at 8:15 a.m.

Surf at Folly around thigh-belly high, still plenty of surf overall its clean just dense fog making poor visibility.

Winds are currently south around 5 knots and surf-zone is semi-choppy. We will see winds continue out of the south 5-10 knots throughout the day.

High tide was at 8:17 a.m. Low tide will be at 2:39 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 5.9ft at 9 seconds in SE swell.

Our Bermuda high trade-swell is still showing waist-belly+ surf this morning. Our current swell will linger around and slowly lose steam into our weekend. A cold front then approaches bringing decent S wind-swell back into play Saturday around waist+ with a cleanup on Sunday as the front pushes through bringing stiff offshore winds. High pressure then settles in over our area and the surf should become more dormant. Plenty of surf the next few days get on it!

NOAA Forecast: “High pressure will prevail today. A cold front will approach Friday and stall near or over the area. A secondary cold front will push through early Sunday, followed by high pressure into the middle of next week.”

Current water temp: 51*.

It’s 63* and foggy this morning. Look for a high of 69* and a chance for the sun to sneak out for a little while this afternoon.

Sunrise is 7:18 a.m., Sunset 5:44 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
