We currently still have all our 4/3 wetsuits on sale, so come and get them while the weather is still cold! Always good to be ready to roll come next cold season too.
Surfs the best its been in a little while knee-thigh with some waist peaks. Its glassy looks like fun for the logs or fishes.
Winds are northerly this morning making clean conditions, look for wind to trend more SSW as the day moves on adding some funk to the surf.
Low tide is 12:54 p.m., and high tide will be at 6:53 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 5.6 feet at 12 seconds in a long period east south/east swell. A little swell is trying to peak through.
Surf again looking decent this morning especially for the logs or high volume sticks. Thigh high early maybe a plus set here and there. We have an approaching frontal boundary incoming tomorrow Friday, which will clock our winds around out of the SSW and become pretty strong. This will build in some fresh short-period wind-swell and will be a choppy mess until tomorrow late afternoon where Im seeing favorable winds turning more offshore before dark as the front pushes through. High pressure returns over our general marine area and surf will be on the downside.
The water temp is around 60*.
The NOAA Marine Forecast for our waters calls for: “a cold front passing through the area Friday. High pressure will return to the region this weekend and prevail into early next week.”
It’s 47* and blue skies this morning. Look for a high of 61* and sunny. Nice day at the beach for stroll during the mid-day low tide.
Sunrise is 6:58 a.m., Sunset 6:10 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
