Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Thursday, March 28th at 8:30 a.m.

Wetsuits at the shop are marked down 20% both 3/2s and 4/3s come get em!

A little chilly out this morning. Surf is running about knee-thigh high and glassy. Problem is not much energy and too much water with incoming high tide. You may be able to catch a few decent ones that sneak in. The bigger board is your friend this morning.

Winds are north/northwest at 10 knots. Winds stay out of the north and pick up to around 15+ knots throughout the day

We have a high tide at 10:22 a.m. Our only low tide will be 4:20 p.m.(crispy)

Edisto Buoy is reading 3.9 ft at 7 seconds from the ESE.

So as mentioned the surf is pretty weak although there is a little swell in the water. Not sure if it will be able to handle the dropping tide and northerly wind. There is a small chance that something may come together around mid tide. Unfortunately, the short duration of what may happen and overall weakness of this system doesn’t look to be a great wave producer. High pressure then returns over our general area and surf should be on the downside.

NOAA Marine Forecast: “A cold front will move through today, then high pressure will build in through Tuesday. A cold front could affect the area next Wednesday.”

The water temp is around 62*. It’s starting to warm up!

Its  59* degrees and rainy this morning. Sun sneaks out later today with a high of 63*

Sunrise is 7:11 a.m., Sunset 7:37 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
