Wednesday April 24th

Choppy

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday April 24th at 8:00 a.m.

Surf at Folly is about knee high or so and not looking to great, winds are on it out of the south so its small and choppy.

Winds are currently 10-15mph out of the south look for winds to trend SW and pick up 15-25mph.

We have a high tide approaching 8:55 a.m. with the tide dropping out to low at 2:55 p.m with incoming tide into the evening.

The Edisto buoy is reading 3.3ft at 10 seconds from the ENE.

Again, surf on Folly currently small knee or so.  Unfortunately, we don’t get much relief during the work week. High pressure is sitting over our general marine area keeping our surf down. There is hope on the long range. Strong high pressure looks to push off the NE coast and begin NE wind swell that should trend more easterly later into the weekend. Nothing to get to excited out but I do think it will be enough to get us all wet. Also A decent well organized Low looks to be in the central Atlantic late weekend although currently models have it to far north for us to get any action. We will keep you posted.

It’s a beautiful day currently sunny around 60* look for a high in the mid 70s

Water Temp is about 67 degrees.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf check back tomorrow.
