Good morning, this is Luke da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and forecast for Friday, September 20.
Surf around Folly looking knee to thigh high winds are light and variable looks like a fun little longboard wave out there.
Winds are currently light, winds will pick up slightly NE later today around 10mph.
Edisto buoy reading 2.3 ft @11 sec from the ESE
We have a high tide at 10:20 this morning, low tide will be at 4:43 p.m.
We have some longer period ESE swell from former Tropical Storm Gordon that was spinning way out in the Atlantic. Its offering a great little longboard wave at the moment. Surf should stay the same over the weekend just gradually loosing steam and size. Looking ahead not a ton on our horizon. Long range models are showing something substantial coming off the Yucatan into the Gulf late next week along with a juicy low coming off Africa. Both are a ways out and can substantially change but something to watch in between longboard sessions.
Its Sunny out with a little breeze today. Currently its 69* with a high of 81*.
Sunrise is at 7:07 a.m., Sunset 7:21 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
