Good morning, this is Charlie with your Ocean Surf Shop report at 9 a.m. from The Washout for Friday, November 1st, 2024.
Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and as we get closer to those colder days, come pick up some neoprene to keep you warm (or a really cool sweatshirt to put on after).
Surf at The Washout is stomach to chest high with some bigger sets here and there. Winds are currently 4 mph from the east-southeast. Definitely worth checking it out and getting some surf in this morning!
Winds will stay out of the east-southeast blowing around 4-6 mph throughout the day.
We will have a low tide at 2:34 p.m. and then a high tide after dark at 8:29 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 feet at 8.3 seconds in a medium period south-east wind swell ground swell combo. There is lots of swell at the buoy, and should push in some surf later this week.
Another fun day of surf on tap. Should continue into the weekend so get it while you can.
Our guys over at NOAA predict that a “Weak high pressure will linger across the region through the rest of this week. A backdoor cold front will push across the South Carolina Lowcountry and southeast Georgia on Sunday. High pressure will ridge across the area through the middle of next week.”
Water temp is 70*
It’s 71* and mostly sunny. Looks like the sun will stay out today with a high of 76*.
Sunrise was at 7:37 a.m. and Sunset will be at 6:28 p.m.
