Good morning, this is Luke da kook with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast at 8:30 a.m. for Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Clean.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: waist to chest+
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

We just marked down the majority of our summer gear so come grab some before the holiday’s and while the prices are still low!

Surf around Folly looking really fun. Waist-chest+ sheet of glass this morning not a ton of people on it either.

Winds are currently dead at the moment and forecasted to pick up slightly ESE 5-10mph.

We have a high tide approaching at 10:31 a.m. with a low tide at 5:02 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 5.2 feet at 9 seconds in medium period south-easterly swell.

Our wave train continues today surf again looking really fun waist to chest+ winds should stay light enough all day to keep it fun. High pressure to our north-east has generated this long lasting ESE pulse of trade-swell. This high pressure looks to loose its power and move further east so a very gradual down-trend in the surf can be expected heading into the weekend. Although still rideable. Meanwhile Hurricane Rafael is in the Gulf of Mexico and looks to keep a west-ward track. Early work week next week looks like another high pressure moves over Bermuda will generate another Trade-swell not as strong as what we just experienced but a noticeable uptick in the surf is expected. Weve got plenty of surf how is everbodys arms?

Water temp is 70*

It’s 72* and cloudy with a high of 77*. It’ll stay cloudy with rain showers all day

Sunrise was at 6:42 a.m. and Sunset will be at 5:24 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
