Semi-choppy to choppy

Time of Report: 9 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Plenty.
Dangers: Windy

Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and Forecast for Saturday, November 9th at 9:15 a.m.

I hope everyone got their fair share of waves this past week. It’s been a lot of fun. Guess its time to get some work done around here.

Waves are around knee to thigh high, maybe a waist high set here and there. May be a little something on the incoming tide, with some chop to it. Winds are picking up though and will not slow down throughout the day.

Winds are currently 15 mph with 23 gusts out of the northeast. Winds will stay steady into Sunday night and then back down a little on Monday.

We have a high tide approaching at 1:30 p.m. with a low tide at 7:52 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 7 seconds in medium period south-easterly swell.

Waves have been fun, but today its time to get back to the grind for the weekend and pick up the pieces. Look for a few waves to pick back up into midweek. After that, forecast aren’t looking to promising.

Our homies at NOAA say “A weak cold front will shift south of the area late today. High pressure will then prevail to the north, followed by a cold front Monday night into early Tuesday. High pressure will return for the middle of next week.”

Water temp is 70*

It’s sunny and 70*. Look for a high of 73* and breezy today

Sunrise was at 6:44 a.m. and Sunset will be at 5:22 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
