Surf on Folly is pretty weak today, a little bit of chop in the water but not enough to make it worth it. If you’re looking for action, you’re better off surfing the internet instead.

Wind is currently 15 mph coming from the NW with gusts up to 23 mph. Today, wind speeds will vary from 6 to 18 mph with gusts reaching up to 29 mph. The winds will switch to the SW as we get closer to sunset.

Low tide was right before sunset at 7:19 a.m. Expect a high tide at 1:05 p.m. and we will have a low tide right before sunset at 7:03 p.m.

Edisto buoy is reading 6.9 feet at 10.3 seconds in an easterly swell.

Doesn’t look like we have much to look forward to this weekend as far as waves go. Try and enjoy this nice weather instead and stay tuned for the report as we are praying to see some waves soon.

Our guys and gals over at NOAA predict: “Quiet conditions and mostly sunny skies will prevail through the weekend, with a cold front then poised to push through the area Monday, bringing with it chances for showers and breezy winds.”

The water temperature is around 60*.

It’s currently 47* and windy on Folly. Look for sunshine throughout the day with a high of 60*.

Sunrise was at 7:21 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:32 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
