Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, May 1st , 2025.

*Shop floor is looking awesome as we are stocked up on all your summer gear needs!
Surf at the Pier this morning looking knee to maybe thigh high, its looking pretty weak overall with winds on it out of the south. Enough for a log sesh.
Winds will be brisk out of the south today 10-20mph conditions should remain choppy.
We just came off a early low tide, have a high tide now approaching at 11:49 a.m. A Low tide will be at 5:41 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is currently reading 2.6ft in a short period swell at 7 seconds out of the ESE.
High pressure dominates our overall marine area but onshore southerly winds should keep a small knee-thigh nugget in our waters most of the week. Further down the road a front looks to approach our area and lots of moisture looks to remain just offshore. Some models have been sniffing out a little Low developing, we will see if models gain more consistency giving us more confidence in a potential wave maker over the weekend. Pray for surf. The good news is waters warm again and the suns out all week come out to the beach!r
