Surf at the Washout lost some steam from yesterday but still plenty of surf. Thigh to waist high sheet of glass overall looks like a fun sesh could be had by all. Go get some suns out!
Winds are light offshore this morning. Forecasted to become more SSW later today but remain light at 5-10mph
Low tide was at 9:39am followed by high tide at 3:52pm
The Edisto Buoy is currently reading 4.3 ft in a short period swell at 7 seconds out of the southeast.
Surf is still showing fun thigh-waist high surf this Monday morning. Surf should then back off slightly to start our work week although I believe we should have some rideable surf for the upcoming week. Strong high pressure sits way offshore with a lot of unsettled weather off the SE coast and western Caribbean. Late work week models showing a little low forming. Knee-waist high surf looks likely most of the week with varying winds with a noticeable uptick in size towards the weekend.
The water temperature is around 71* and feels great!
Our friends at NOAA say “expect showers and thunderstorms over the next couple days ahead of an approaching cold front. The front will potentially linger nearby before shifting offshore early next week as high pressure begins to build in again from the west.”
It’s currently 69* and showers on the island. Sun with showers for the day!. High of mid 70s
Sunrise was at 6:31am and the sunset will be at 8:03pm
