The waves at the pier this morning knee high with a slightly bigger peak here and there, great longboard morning. Just don’t expect a whole lot.
Winds are light and variable this morning clean conditions. Winds stay light overall today becoming 5-10mph SE.
We just came off a High tide, We’re approaching low tide at Noon followed by a high tide later this evening at 6:23 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is currently reading 2.0 ft in a mid period swell at 8 seconds out of the ESE.
The water temperature is around 73*.
Unsettled weather over our marine area for the next few days. Surf lingers in the knee-thigh range today. Looking ahead remnant moisture in the Gulf looks to better organize over the weekend into a broad low pressure. This paired with offshore high pressure should generate some onshore flow for us. Later Sunday/Monday looking like the surf should further build waist to chest high range. This trends into Tuesday. Surfs on the way.
Our guys and gals at NOAA say, “A front will remain stalled nearby through the weekend as cut-off low continues to move closer to the region. This will allow an unsettled, wet pattern to persist over the next several days”. In other words, it’s going to be a rainy work week!
It’s currently 69* and cloudy on the island. It’ll stay cloudy throughout the day with some sun here and there. Look at a high of 77*
Sunrise was at 6:28 a.m. and the sunset will be at 8:06 p.m.
Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
Cheers!!
