Aug 5th Pier
What up ya buncha nerds, Waves aint lookin so hot today. If you want to hit the line up then a higher volume long board or possible fishing craft of some sort might spark a little stoke out there today folks. Low winds and pretty weak swell from the East are making the possible chance of stoke a little far from reach. But don’t let that stop you, grab your 5’7 thruster and charge 3rd reef washout if ya want gents!
Surfs looking shin-thigh high and pretty clean from the winds out of the East at 5-10kt. With expected winds hover around that speed all day into the night too.
We will have a low tide this morning at 11:20 a.m. Expect a high tide this afternoon at 6:02 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is currently reading 2.1 ft at 6 seconds from the East.
Our friends over at NOAA predict, “A front will linger near or just south of the area this week, while high pressure remains centered well to the north. Low pressure could develop off the Southeast U.S. coast on Thursday and persist into the weekend”. So, let’s hope this provides us with something to work with.
Water temperatures are sitting at a toasty 85*, pretty much lava. So, pack your screen and water.
It is currently 81* and cloudy. Look for a high of 85* with clouds and some possible rain.
Sunrise was at 6:37 a.m. and the sunset will be at 8:16
Thanks for tuning in for today’s Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
