Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, July 8th at 8 a.m.
Surf at the pier is knee high in semi-choppy west wind swell. Typical summer conditions. Weak and textured from the West winds.
It’s rideable. Around knee-to-thigh high. It’s a log day for sure if you choose to go and send it!
Winds are West at 10 to 15 and expected to gust up to 15kt today. Surf will be super messy with little organization.
Tide is now dropping with a low at 8:24 and a high to be around 2:53 P.M.
Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 feet ft at 5 seconds in a West wind swell.
Our pals at NOAA predict, “High pressure will persist over the region through this week”. Meaning high temps and rain on the forecast for a while.
It’s a humid 83* with sunshine this morning and a high of 89* and a heat index close to 98* at the beach. It’s much hotter in town.
Water temperature It’s around 84*.
Sunrise is at 6:19 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:31 p.m.
