4th Street East

Good morning this is Eazy-E, with your Folly surf report and forecast for Friday, August 22 at 8:50 a.m. Coming off of a surf bender for folly after the last week of fun surf, the waves today at 4th street East are looking to be around the knee to waist high range and lacking a lot of the power the last few days provided due to the swell fading out. But even after some juicy nugs the last few days the ole log would be fun out there today.

Surf at the Washout is waist high and winds from the East hovering around the 5-10 kt range for most of the day. So small little fun knee slappers that are smooth and groomed are what the menu are calling for if ya want to still send it.

High tide will be at 8:00 a.m., and low tide will be at 1:49 p.m. Your next high tide will be at 8:22 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is 3.3 at 9 sec from the ESE.

Our pals over at NOAA predict,” A cold front will slowly crawl southward across the forecast area this morning and stall over southern Georgia later today and linger into the weekend. A much stronger cold front will clear the area Monday with high pressure prevailing through the middle of next week”. Maybe this could stir the pot again and give us some proper juice soon!

Water temperature is around 85*.

Its 80* and sunny this morning look for a high of 83* with a 80% chance of rain for today.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
