Good morning, this is Jeff with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, November 26 at 8:30 a.m. We are open today for regular winter shop hours Friday from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. We just received a large shipment of Stewart Epoxy longboards and Orion Epoxy short-boards and longboards. Come check them out. We also have Zap skim-boards in the shop. We are stocked up. Surf at The Washout is knee-to-thigh high. Winds are WSW at 8 knots with gust to 13 knots, and surf zone is drifting to the North with the wind pushing the swell. It is a choppy mess in the surf zone as it drifts south to north. High tide is at 12:07 p.m. and our next low tide will be at 5:28 p.m. The Edisto Buoy is reading .7 ft. ft. at 10 seconds in and easterly swell, with a north east wind swell component 6.6 ft at 5.9 seconds. The surf is pretty small today with a high north angle on it. Surf looks small mid-to-late week as wind come moderate off-shore and push down the surf for most of your holiday work week. The weekend looks small too, as a series of cold fronts moves through our marine area and keeps off-shore winds in the forecast, blowing down the surf. This continues into next week, so we aren’t seeing much in the forecast for the next week or so. Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will prevail across the region through Thanksgiving Day. A cold front will move through the area Friday, followed by dry conditions for the weekend and early next week.” It’s a chilly 57* with sun this morning. Look for a high of 66* mostly overcast  with wind today. Water temperature currently is around 66* and will drop over the next few days.
