It’s Friday and glorious at the beach!!! This is Chachismo with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, Sep 19th at 8:15 a.m.

All neoprene goods are starting to show up, so come get those suits before they are gone!

It’s super glassy and there is a little bump in the water, but pretty weak. About knee high. Need a reason to get in the water, then here ya go. It’s not totally flat.

Winds are N at 4mph and the surf is clean. Winds pick up out of the east south-east around 10 mph midday.

We had a high tide at 6:41 am, low tide will be at 12:40 p.m., Next high tide is 7:04 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is showing 1.6ft at 9 seconds from the ESE.

Surf is around knee high this morning. Pretty be super flat at time of low tide. High pressure dominates our marine area. Tropical Storm Gabrielle is churning towards the eastern Caribbean islands passing to their north. This system is forecasted to head west until making a hard to the north. For us we should see a pulse of ESE swell turning easterly on Monday. Unfortunately, right when Gabrielle strengthens it turns north out of our window. May be in the best interest to travel a bit for this one. We will keep you posted. Time to target for folly *Monday waist to belly high surf should be on offer.

Water temperature is around 80*.

Homies at NOAA say: “Weak high pressure will extend across the region this week. Stronger high pressure will build into the region from the north over the weekend and into early next week, while a coastal trough develops offshore.”

It is 73* this morning and sunny Look for a high of 80* at the beach today with a mix of sun and clouds.

Sunrise was 7:06 a.m., Sunset 7:20 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
