Surf at Folly this morning is flat, with moderate offshore winds blowing the surf down.
Winds are west-north/west at 15 knots. Surf is zone is clean.
Look winds to remain throughout the remainder of the day.
We have a high tide at 10:38 a.m., and a low tide will be at 4:39 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.2 ft. at 6 seconds in a west-south/west wind-swell pushing away from shore.
Its Flat and chilly in the Folly region today. High pressure has currently settled in over our marine area for the weekend resulting in small to flat surf. Looking into the work week we see high pressure slide offshore Tuesday resulting in rising SE trade-swell. Wednesday our trade-swell holds and is reinforced with a stronger S wind-swell ahead of a strong cold front with strong south winds forecasted. Thursday looks like things could clean up, although winds could be very strong offshore making things a bit difficult. Lots of swell heading our way just looks like winds are going to be the tricky thing. We will keep you posted as this unfolds.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will extend across the region through Tuesday. A cold front could bring impacts to the region during the middle of next week.”
It’s 48* with plenty of sunshine this morning. Look for sun today and a high of 58*.
Water temperature is around 56*.
Sunrise is at 6:47 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:15 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
