clean

Time of Report: 8:00
Wave Forecast: knee high
Traffic: not much
Parking: plenty for now
Dangers: tourists

Good Morning. This is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, July 28 at 8:00 a.m.

Waves at The Washout are ankle to knee high.

Winds are light at 5 to 10 knots out of the SSW, and surf is mostly clean.

Looks like it’ll be fun on a longboard as the tide comes in this morning.

High tide will be at 12:49 p.m. followed by low tide at 6:44 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 3.5 ft. at 4 seconds in small, south-easterly swell.

Wind should stay fairly light out of the SW today. Keep a look out for some light showers and thunderstorms throughout the day which could make things glassy. Waves on the incoming tide should remain fun today.  Look for waves tomorrow morning as winds remain offshore for a couple of hours early before switching back to SW with thunderstorms likely.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will approach the area Saturday, then move through Saturday night. High pressure will then build into the area from the northwest and persist for the first half of next week.”

It is 80* and slightly cloudy this morning.  Expect a high of 89* with sunny skies and a 35% chance of rain/thunderstorms today.

Water temp is around 86*.

Sunset is at 8:19 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:31 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
