Good morning this is Luke the kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, April 21 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly is knee-thigh high with some plus sets on this mornings high tide. Looks fun for the high volume boards.

Winds are light and variable making for clean surface conditions this morning.

Look for winds to pick up lightly out of the south 5-10mph overall it shouldn’t hurt it.

We have a high tide at 9:39 a.m.  A low tide will follow later this afternoon at 3:40 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 7 seconds in short period south swell.

Surf has picked up a bit showing a thigh+ nugget on this mornings high tide. Great longboard morning.  A cold front approaches later on Friday and surf should build a little a result. Over the weekend expect knee-waist high surf on the better tides. It will begin to fade on Sunday and turn more flat on Monday. Mid-week next week looks to have another cold front approach and produce a more significant SSW swell for us. Could be a worse forecast I think their will be opportunities to get wet within the next week!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail today. A cold front will move through Saturday, followed by cool and dry High pressure early next week. A storm system is expected to bring impacts to our region during the middle of next week”

Its beautiful this morning mid 60s with ample sunshine. Look for temps to begin to climb into the mid 70s with sunshine continuing.

Water temperature is 69*. Them fish are biting.

Sunrise is at 6:46 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:51 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
