Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, April 28 at 8:30 a.m.
We have a ton of spring-suits and wetsuit jackets in stock here at the shop. Get ready to get into the water for the weekend’s swell.
Surf at Folly waist to chest+ and looks pretty fun!
Winds side/offshore SSW 10-20mph. Theirs some funk to it but overall not hurting it to badly.
Low tide is approaching at 9:30 a.m. high tide will fill in at 3:38 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.2ft at 8 seconds from the SSE
Surf again is looking fun this Friday morning waist to chest high+ with some slight drift and chop to it. Overall Im going straight out after this! Look for a slight clean up Saturday, but with a series of springtime disturbances crossing our marine area Sunday and Monday Surf should pick up again in a windy south south-west wind swell on Sunday, and there will likely be a windy clean-up sometime on the high tide Monday afternoon.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A storm system will impact the region Saturday into Sunday. A cold front will then cross the area Sunday night, with high pressure returning to the region by the middle of next week.”
Its 65 this morning with cloudy skies. Look for a high of 76 with some partly cloudy skies this afternoon and thunderstorms late day.
Water temperature is 72*.
Sunrise is at 6:38 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:56 p.m.
